Fab Finds #14: Tablescapes

Monday, September 6th, 2010

One of the many beautiful things about a wedding are the flowers. There are so many fantastic ways you can design the reception with flowers and here we have found a fab idea for you to oodle over! These images show beautiful suspended flowers which look simply stunning. Each clear vase holds one white ranunculus suspended in air by clear fishing lines.

We thought some of our classic wedding stationery would look great with this look, such as our classic monogram wedding invitations or bring in a bit of subtle colour with our delicate Lovebirds wedding invitations.

Fab Find #12: Cherry Blossom Wedding Invitation

Monday, August 23rd, 2010

Spring was certainly in the air here in Melbourne this weekend and you can see everyone is perking up a little too – yey! I love Spring, it is my favourite season of the year and what a fantastic season for a wedding. Each season brings with it an abundance of beautiful flowers and Springs best (in my humble opinion at least) has to be the cherry blossom. Inspired by the beauty of cherry blossom and these stunning photographs, I designed a wedding invitation based on these beautiful flowers as you can see below. Here the wedding invitation is shown in a delicate pink and contrasting soft muted brown. The wedding invitation is part of a collection at mini Moko that continues the cherry blossom design throughout completing a beautiful set of stationery for your wedding day. It comes in several other colours too, but should you wish to match it to colours specific to your day, why not use mini Moko’s colour customisation service.

One of the most delightful parts of a wedding is undoubtedly choosing your wedding dress, well that and sourcing your wedding invitations!! I came across these stunning photographs of Maria Lucia Mohan’s showroom. The dresses are just gorgeous and dreamy. I certainly want to try them all on! I also love the little details too, such as the sewing machine and name tag…

Fab Find #10: Wedding Tree Genealogy Chart

Tuesday, August 10th, 2010

The Wedding Tree is one of  six Wedding Genealogy charts that can be purchased from Melangerie. Never heard of one before, well this is what they are;

‘Wedding genealogies are customized charts, similar to a family tree, that detail the relationships of the bride and groom to all of their wedding guests. Great for the cocktail hour and receptions, these charts fill guests in on who’s a friend from childhood, a neighbor, a family member, and more. Wedding Genealogy charts also serve as a lovely piece of wedding memorabilia. The Wedding Tree is a colorful illustrative design that organizes groups of friends and family by branches of categories and color.

Such a cute idea :)

All bags are hand finished too – perfect.  Jane, the girl behind these beautiful clutches also specializes in custom orders for brides and bridesmaids and will work with your fabric too. Fab Find #8: Stationery Stationary Tote

Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

I had to chuckle when I came across these totes on Etsy recently. When I first started out in the stationery business, it would really irritate me when someone mispelt stationery, however over time I have just learnt to not let it bother me so much. You can purchase one of these handy bags from Sapling Press shop on Etsy.

Fab Finds #7: Boutonnierre

Tuesday, July 20th, 2010

Well it was only a couple of weeks ago that we looked at bow ties and now it’s boutonnierre – just so the man in your life doesn’t feel left out! I often feel that so much emphasis is placed on the bride when it comes to weddings but the groom is a equal (….well almost!!) part of the celebrations too. Now I love a man in a well cut suit but there are a number of items where you men can have fun with your tie/bow tie, socks and….a boutonnierre too. I have picked out a few that have caught my eye along the way, whether it’s for their sheer elegant simplicity or there fun, flirtatious vibrancy!
