I used to love playing around with makeup when I was a little girl and it seems recently my time with make up has become less and less, when in fact I probably really should be paying myself more attention. Inspired by Sandra Glynn my New Years resolution will inevitably be – must try harder
“I am a Sydney based makeup artist specializing in fashion and bridal makeup. I love being a makeup artist. I love seeing women transformed, radiating confidence and feeling empowered after a makeover. I have worked on women of all ages, from varying backgrounds in the past 10 years.
With a view to helping women look and feel good about themselves the business has expanded to stocking makeup and running “how to” workshops for women. These workshops provide an excellent format for a group of friends to get together in a fun and relaxed environment where they will learn the techniques of applying makeup and find out what colours and products suit them best.
So whether you are a Bride to Be looking for a makeup artist for your wedding day, you simply have a special occasion that requires a great look or you would love to learn the tricks of the trade, i will come to you and cater to your needs.
Be prepared to STOP TRAFFIC!”

And now for a few questions on downtime:
1). What’s your favourite way to relax at the weekend?
Hitting the beach with the family or going for a nice long walk as a family with the dog.
Oh and of course.. chilling out in the garden with a nice glass of white.
2). Favourite restaurant?
At the moment – locally, Via Leoni Ristorante in Russell Lea and in the city – The Malaya Restaurant
3). What book are you reading at the moment?
I need to make more time to read, ‘Who wants to be a Billionaire – The James Packer story” was started some months ago but I’m yet to finish it.
My next book purchase will be Rae Morris’ “Express Makeup”
4). What did you last go and see at the cinema?
Toy Story 3 – yes I cried.
5). What is your favourite wedding story?
I had a Bride who’s family originated in India (as did her future husbands) and they had a lot of family travelling to Sydney for the wedding. In the lead-up to the wedding, they organised a Cricket Match between the families – they even went as far as booking a Cricket Pitch, organising umpires and getting t shirts made for each of the teams.
I thought this was a fabulous way to bring the two families together in a relaxed atmosphere – lets face it, not all weddings are relaxing. I know they had an unforgettable day that included some hilarious moments.
I’d love to do something similar with my family one day – although the hubby being Irish and me being Uruguayan – it would be a good old fashioned game of Football – or Soccer as we call it here in Australia.
What a lovely wedding story Sandra – great idea for getting everyone to know one another a little better and relax! For more of Sandra and the services she provides check out her website at www.sandraglynn.com.au
