Well, up until recently it was always Melbourne Wedding Registry, however it looks as though recently that has all changed and here Aasa Neeme tells us more,
‘The Sydney Wedding Registry opened on Oxford Street Bondi Junction in July of this year. It’s the sister company to the successful Melbourne branch which is located in Armadale, Victoria.
The company offers a complete gift registry service to couples who are looking for a more interesting selection of gifts than the department stores can offer. What really makes them stand apart though is good old-fashioned customer service, from staff who know their products inside out. The service is completely free for couples and the user-friendly website allows couples to also create and manage their lists online, if they wish, which makes it perfect for busy couples. Guests can also buy online from anywhere in the world.
The Sydney Wedding Registry showroom is open from Wednesday through Sunday, and welcomes all couples and their guests. Appointments are offered but couples are always welcome to come without an appointment to browse and ask questions. For more information visit: www.sydneyweddingregistry.com.au
Clockwise from top left: Ici et la Stool, Milk & Sugar Napkins, Ealing Broadway Retro Destination Scroll, Milk & Sugar Junior Bowls, Bholu Cushion (all can be found and much more on www.sydneyweddingregistry.com.au)
1) What’s your favourite way to relax at the weekend?
Weekends are actually usually spent with our lovely couples showing them around the showroom and helping them put together their wedding lists, but on my days off I like to spend time with my partner cooking a meal together or going to see a film.
2). Favourite restaurant?
Red Squirrel in Coogee is fabulous, almost like having dinner at a friends house and not like a conventional restaurant at all!
3). What book are you reading at the moment?
I’m half way through The Girl who played with fire, I want to finish before I can see the new film!
4). What did you last go and see at the cinema?
We saw the Social Network it was really interesting and beautifully shot.
5). What is your favourite wedding story?
There was a bride I saw a few years back who was having a very large wedding, she was quite stressed and always a bit all over the place when we saw her. Two weeks before the wedding her fiancé called the wedding off, it was awful and I felt terrible for her. But 12 months later she contacted us, and it was like speaking to a totally different girl, she was 3 months pregnant to a man she had only met a few months back…but she was so relaxed and blissfully happy. They had decide to have a very small and intimate wedding with close friends to celebrate their union and joy at bringing a baby into the world…..and I couldn’t help thinking things had definitely worked out for the best
Thanks Aasa Neeme, I wish you all the success with the new Sydney venture !
