Inspiration Board #10: Black and White Candy Stripe

I know many of you out there are over the classic black and white colour combination…but I’m not! It is classic after all and I think there are plenty of opportunities to make it fresh and different still. So here’s my take on the classic combo. I don’t know about you but I love anemone flowers and the simplicity of them is perfect for such a classic look, however having them in black and white is something truly special. I found a great wedding bouquet and cake that really compliment one another using these beautiful flowers. Our candy stripe wedding stationery collection perfectly compliments this look with it’s classic yet fun bold stripes. And of course you can’t go past Chanel’s black nail polish for the finishing touches.

Inspiration Board #9: Autumn Leave in Yellow and Grey

I have to say, I’m loving the opportunity to put together some Autumn inspiration boards at the moment. I just love the colours associated with autumn and I thought this time I’d showcase our Autumn Leaves wedding stationery in a beautiful lemon yellow and grey – for something that little bit different. I love the freshness of the lemon yellow grounded by the sophisticated steel greys. It’s as though we haven’t quite left behind summer just yet! In this board I have shown some beautiful close up details of a Karen Willis Holmes Wedding Gown – stunning isn’t it? Being a big softy at heart I also couldn’t go past the black and white photo showing one of the grooms men wiping a tear away from his eye – touching.

Inspiration #8: Little Tree

I always love getting a colour customisation order, as I am intrigued as to how people want to transform my designs with the colours they have choosen for their own wedding day. Recently I had an order for our Little Tree Wedding Invitations and I was thrilled with the outcome of the colour customisation. The wedding is in Autumn and the colours are perfect for that time of year. It got me thinking about an inspiration board for the invitations and so here we are! It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy..

Inspiration #7: Be My Valentine

Well with Valentines Day just round the corner it felt just right to put together this beautiful inspiration board. Red is a colour of passion and all consuming but used well can be stunning. Here we have teamed it with white and used it for the accents so that it doesn’t over power. I’m particularly loving the red piano and seat, how gorgeous would that be at your wedding reception? I love the work of Cakeface and couldn’t resist incorporating one of her beautiful wedding cakes – the detail of the rose petals is stunning. We’ve included our Love hearts wedding invitations in a luscious red colour on this board, so perfect for Valentines Day. As well as the full wedding stationery suite they are also available as Engagement Invitations. Lastly, you couldn’t go past Valentines Day without a box of chocolates – do you think ours is big enough?!

Inspiration Board #6: Tropical

This weeks inspiration board comes from a new mini Moko wedding stationery collection called Delightful Dahlia in a stunning tropical range of colours. A dear friend of mine commented that this invitation design reminded her of fireworks which made me smile and think how appropriate! This inspiration board is all about the joy of summer time and gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside. It’s all about fun and laughter with a good dose of sunshine thrown in for good measure. I love the cake which is highly detailed with dahlia petals and yet is also very simple and elegant. The pom poms for the reception are so much fun and again remind me of dahlia flowers. And wouldn’t you just love to be whisked off at the end of the celebrations in that gorgeous classic car?

Inspiration Board #5: Classic Pink and Green

I always love to do a modern twist on a classic theme, which is why I love the Classic Monogram Wedding Invitations by mini Moko in this Inspiration Board. The monogram itself is a lovely traditional approach often used in wedding stationery, but what gives it a twist, is the striking hot pink and green colour combination. When planning your wedding you should never be put off my using colourful wedding invitations. It doesn’t mean that these colours have to overtake the day but simply used subtly throughout. For example, keeping your wedding reception table ware a neutral white but then placing a zing of hot pink flowers every now and again would be enough. Again with the cake, stunning detail yet mostly white with a delicate burst of pink flower and green leaves. Think colour in the detail and all will click into place.

mini Moko Design Fest #4: Taupe Embellish Wedding Stationery

This weeks Design Fest brings a wedding stationery design that is in quite the opposite in style to last weeks Simplicity design. If you love the intricate ornate details in life then Embellish is certainly going to be just the collection for you. Here we have the design in a taupe with a lovely fresh contrasting apricot.
